Jasprit Bumrah!

I am only allowed to permit Jasprit Bumrah, in my mind today. Yes – what a revolution, what a find, and what a great swing bowler he is. Only 19 years of life, plays for Mumbai Indians and debuted today in IPL against Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. There will not be a single viewer, who wouldn’t have awed with his debut performance today. If Indian selection committee is really bias-free, I am very confident; we will get to see this great catch in action soon, internationally. Such a well spoken guy as well – full of confidence!

Wonder what I’ll ask Chris Gayle, if I get to see him, for being able to hit those extra tall sixes! May be: what do you eat before the match and where do you sleep night before. Man, he is powerful! That’s what you call Neighbor’s envy, Owner’s pride. He is always happy to be the lone soldier for his team - was in the last version and looked to continue same way in the current version of IPL. Magical he was today. How can someone be injured, limp through the match, stand on one foot and hit all those boundaries, to score 90+2 runs! No more words for him.

Ponter – more than anything it’s a great sight to see him captaining archrivals: Sachin, Harbhajan, Munaf etc. He is such a good fielder, a leader and a legend. Ponter came from countryside Australia (Tasmania) and ruled the world cricket for over two decades. A rare feat, indeed. He looks stable as the captain, let’s see how the season progresses. I don’t doubt his talent at all, only care for his growing age.

How cool was that to see Ricky Ponting opening today with Sachin Tendulkar for Mumbai Indians? That’s why we love IPL – It’s the only platform where; unimaginable, unworkable, unfeasible – meets REALITY, so naturally. Give it a go. Its good fun. It appeared as if these two legends trying to impress each other, while batting together for the first time. Without a doubt; they always had mutual appreciation but today they multiplied it with youth and energy, derived from playing together.

Indubitably; today belongs to Japrit Bumrah. I can’t agree more. Let’s wish him luck for future and salutation for his performance today.

Hope we all had a good day today and I know it will be better tomorrow. Friday is always… you know what I mean – the best day of the week. It has best of everything: end of work, start of fun, happy hours, dreams in eyes for next two days and what not! Shall I let you go or WHAT? Where is it? Yes, that’s right. My gift and your smile. Goodnight friends - Sleep very tight
