Jan Lokpal Bill!!!

In Mario Puzo's The Godfather,   Don Vito Corleone remarkably warns his youngest son and heir Michael to watch out for his lieutenant who would come up with an offer to set up a meeting for reconciliation with his powerful rivals. That man will be the traitor, the Don tells Michael.

Anna Hazare  is a house hold name in India today, as far as politics is concerned. His aim is to bring India’s powerful lot to tasks,  who get away with crime and corruption by using the power of money/power or both. So much support Anna Hazare has gathered from the people of India in last two years that; it is pushing even nationalized political parties to take a stand, either to to support the approval of Jana Lok Pal bill or face the consequences i.e. political deadlock.

Arvind Kejriwal  was THE chief disciple of Anna Hazare, who parted away from Anna Hazare and formed a political party (AAP), which is currently being accepted by the voters of India, as per recently held state election results. It was often quoted in media that Arvind Kejriwal was the brains behind the Jan Lokpal Bill campaigning while Anna Hazare was just its figurehead.   However neither Anna Hazare supports Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), nor is a member of this political party!

In contemporary Indian politics, unlike in Puzo's mafia thriller GOD-FATHER, it does not require a Don Corleone to figure out, who will end up switching sides to support the government over the Lokpal Bill and why.  It is obvious. It is OPEN & OUT.  Anna Hazare's constant opposition of Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party, however, needs a closer assessment.

How much Aam Aadmi Party is aimed at becoming JUST another political party  and  how much it is still focused on its root / mission / objectives….Jan Lokpal Bill!!! Time will tell. Time will tell, that if fighting for citizen's rights is possible by the "Aam Aadmi Party" alone   or  it has to pass through/pass along by other political party (s). Until then..."WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO, DO  IT MAN!"
