“Time is money” / “Money is power” ?

People say, “Time is money” and they also say “Money is power” . That’s WONDERFUL – good to know, your perspective!!!

But why do we need power at the first place? What is the need? May be because we are concerned about our safety. Power is the answer to the safety concerns.  And we assume if we had money, we could achieve so much, we can have control over so many things and we could influence so many others….no? Money essentially gives us that power to achieve/control/influence so many….that many…vast many! My son says this… ”Papa I love you so many…that many…vast many!!!”

Do we really need so many….that many…vast many though?

Even then power will not come to us. It may come for a bit but will depart soon through nearest exit. Power will come and stay with us…when we have more control over ourselves; not on others, not on so many…but just on one-body and that is just the self-body/self-mind!

Hence, may we please redefine usual statement to: “Knowledge is Power”. “Power is Self-knowledge / Self-Control!”. As we can see, I have taken out “money” from both the equations. But I have the left “power” in both the statements with different set of “source” and “use”.

More we focus on our self-knowledge/Self Control/Mindfulness, it will provide us with greater ability to deal successfully with problems of any scale…large…small…greatest even. If we are in control…problems are not problems. That’s essentially we wanted through Money and Power at the first place…no? But here we are able to achieve so; without money, without control over so-many/that-many/vast-many. Solution is better and simple. Life is appearances/experiences of different solutions. Only Solutions….no problems!

My favourite “Albert Einstein” said:

  • Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.
  • Don’t waste your time trying to be successful, spend your time creating value. If you’re valuable, then you will attract success.
  • Discover the talents and gifts that you possess, learn how to offer those talents and gifts in a way that most benefits others.
  • Labor to be valuable and success will chase you down.
